Many of us are plagued by the awful presence of love handles. Love handles are the not so attractive layer of fat around your waste and are so rightly called because the only thing they are good for is for your partner to hold on to. Of course I’m sure your partner would be more happy if your love handles were to disappear completely and they’ll have to find something else to grab onto.

First and foremost you are going to want to pick up some healthy eating habits. If you really want to get rid of those love handles, this commitment to eat healthy has got to be permanent. It will not work at all to go on some chintzy no carb diet for just a few weeks. You will just end up going right back to where you were before.
Making a commitment to get rid of your love handles should be a permanent change. Eat foods that are low in fat and high in protein. Eat whole grain products and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Low fat or nonfat dairy products are a proven way to reduce fat in your midsection. No more fast foods!
Along with a change in diet you are going to need to start working out. The best way to really burn fat is to use cardiovascular exercises in intervals. Get on a treadmill, bike, or elliptical machine and alternate the intensity of the workout for the same session. Meaning push it hard then fall back then push it hard again. Changing the exercise routine will also help you get rid of the love handles even faster.

You can also be assured that lifting weights will help you to get rid of those love handles as well. Two of the best exercises you can use are the squat and dead lift. But really any exercise where you are working your arms, legs, chest, back, and abs are going to help reduce fat all over your body.
Put together a game plan where you are working everyday to achieve the desired results. The more you eat healthy and workout, the higher your metabolism will speed up and you will begin to see the love handles disappear. Before you know it, you’ll have no more tire around your belly, you’ll feel more energized, you’ll be healthier, and the results will show in your confidence as well.
