There is plenty of discussion about just what are the best abs exercises to use when training your abs. Different trainers of course will use different workouts and techniques to shape your abs. The truth though is that the very best abs exercises are not even ab exercises at all.
You have to first understand that no matter how many and what ab exercises you do use, you will never get flat abs, six pack abs, or a washboard stomach without getting rid of your belly fat first. Doing ab specific exercises is NOT the best way to shed this fat either. So really, the best abs exercises are the ones that make you shed the belly fat the fastest. Here’s what you have to do.
To speed up your metabolism to the point where you are shedding fat fast, you’ll need to control what food goes into your body. Stay away from fried foods and foods that are high in fat content. Not all fats are bad for you but be aware of your good and bad fat intake. Be sure to eat plenty of protein and to include plenty of vegetables and fruits in your diet as well.
Once you get your diet down, the exercises you need to use are ones in which work the big muscle groups of your body. The abs are just a small muscle group and will not do much as far as speeding up your metabolism and shedding fat. The best abs exercise you can use to speed up your metabolism and shed belly fat are exercises like the dead lift and squat.
Whenever you use exercises that require your entire body to expend energy, that is when you will be maximizing your metabolic efficiency the most.
So create a workout plan that has you using your big muscle groups. Workout your legs, chest, back, and arms.
Another good piece of advice to shed fat and speed up your metabolism is to use circuit training instead of your normal slow cardio routines. So you can also include circuit training as the best ab exercises as well.
Circuit training is just a process where you are using many workouts in a small amount of time. You might jump on the exercise bike and pedal hard for 5 minutes, take a minute break, then start pedaling hard again for another 5 minutes. Or you may switch from the bike to a treadmill and then from the treadmill to elliptical.
The whole idea of circuit training is to workout intensely, take a very short rest, then move onto another workout. This is really going to speed up your metabolism!
What have we learned today? I hope to have brought to your attention that the BEST ABS EXERCISES are not even ab exercises and that your first order of agenda should be to speed up your metabolism to start shedding that fat.
